Image color remover for one specific color

This tool is designed for a different job than automatic background removal. You choose the color yourself, then Quicklio makes matching pixels transparent across the whole image. That is useful when a graphic, screenshot, icon, signature, scan, or illustration contains a flat color that you want to remove everywhere.

How to remove a color from a picture

  1. Upload a PNG, JPG/JPEG, or WebP image.
  2. Click the color you want to remove in the original preview, or choose it with the color picker.
  3. Start with a low Tolerance value and increase it until nearby shades are included.
  4. Use Edge softness if anti-aliased pixels leave a visible outline.
  5. Preview the result on transparency, white, dark, or a custom color, then download the transparent PNG.

What tolerance does

Real images rarely contain only one exact RGB value. JPEG compression, anti-aliasing, scanning, lighting, and resampling can create nearby shades around the color you selected. Tolerance controls how far Quicklio can move away from that selected RGB color and still treat a pixel as a match.

Useful examples

Important: this is a color-based transparency tool, not AI subject segmentation. If a selected color also appears inside the subject, those pixels can be removed too. Reduce Tolerance or use the Logo Background Remover when you only want to remove an edge-connected solid background.

Why the result downloads as PNG

PNG supports transparent pixels. JPG does not, so exporting to JPG would replace transparency with a solid background.

Frequently asked questions

Can I remove one exact color from an image?

Yes. Set Tolerance very low to target the selected color closely. Raise it only if compression or anti-aliased shades around that color also need to disappear.

Can I remove white from a picture?

Yes. Pick white from the image and adjust Tolerance. If you only want to remove white that touches the outer background while keeping enclosed white details, use Quicklio’s Logo Background Remover instead.

Can I remove black, green, blue, or another custom color?

Yes. The picker accepts any RGB color, and you can click directly on the original preview to sample it.

Will this remove the selected color everywhere?

Yes. Matching pixels are evaluated across the whole image. This is useful for color-key removal, but it also means matching pixels inside the subject can become transparent.

Is my image uploaded?

No. The image is decoded, processed, previewed, and exported by your browser on your device.
