Turn a photo into a stencil that can actually be cut

Quicklio converts a photo or image into a high-contrast stencil, removes tiny disconnected cut pieces, detects enclosed material islands, and can add bridges automatically. Use it for printable stencils, Cricut and vinyl projects, Mylar, spray-paint masks, signs, and laser-cut stencil preparation.

How the island checker works

A stencil can look correct on screen but fail after cutting when enclosed centers are not connected to the surrounding material. Quicklio identifies those enclosed regions as floating islands. Leave highlighting on to review them, or enable Auto Add Bridges to carve narrow material paths that keep the stencil together.

SVG, PNG, and printable PDF output

PNG is useful for previews and raster workflows. SVG exports the generated cut mask as vector path geometry based on the processed pixels. PDF is useful when you want a printable reference. For machine cutting, inspect the SVG in your cutter software before using expensive material.

Frequently asked questions

How do I turn a photo into a stencil?

Upload the image, adjust threshold and contrast until the important shapes are solid, remove small pieces, check islands, then export the final stencil.

What are stencil bridges?

Bridges are narrow strips of uncut material that connect enclosed pieces such as the centers of letters or eyes to the rest of the stencil.
